Comparison review
The Huawei P40 is slightly better than the Google Pixel 2 XL, having an 86.4 score against 82.5. The Huawei P40 is a a bit thicker cellphone than the Google Pixel 2 XL, but both weight 6.17oz. Google Pixel 2 XL features a little sharper display than Huawei P40, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher pixels number per inch of screen and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2880px.
The Huawei P40 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Huawei P40 also has 2 GB more RAM. Huawei P40 counts with as much storage for games and applications as the Google Pixel 2 XL one, both of them have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage.
Huawei P40 has a bit superior battery performance than Google Pixel 2 XL, because it has a 3800mAh battery capacity instead of 3520mAh. The Huawei P40 takes much clearer photos and videos than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not nice for taking photos and video in low light environments, and they both have the same video quality, the Huawei P40 also counts with a much more mega pixels camera, a way larger back camera sensor and faster video frame rate.
Although Huawei P40 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Google Pixel 2 XL, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Google Pixel 2 XL. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Huawei P40, otherwise you can save some money and get the Google Pixel 2 XL, resigning a couple specs and features.
