Comparison review
Galaxy A50 is a little bit better than Google Pixel 2 XL, getting an 83.8 score against 82.5. Galaxy A50's body is newer, a little bit thinner and just a little lighter than the Google Pixel 2 XL. Galaxy A50's processing unit is very similar to the Google Pixel 2 XL one, both of them have 4 GB of RAM and a Octa-Core CPU.
The Google Pixel 2 XL counts with a little bit better screen than Galaxy A50, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per inch of screen and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2880px. The Galaxy A50 has a way bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory, the Galaxy A50 also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 512 GB.
Samsung Galaxy A50 has just a bit better camera than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has a smaller back camera sensor taking lower quality videos and photographs, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy A50 also counts with a larger aperture for better captures and video in low-light situations and a back camera with much more MP.
Galaxy A50 counts with a bit better battery performance than Google Pixel 2 XL, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity instead of 3520mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy A50 is a better device, it costs more than the Google Pixel 2 XL, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Google Pixel 2 XL. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy A50, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Google Pixel 2 XL, giving up some specifications.
