Galaxy A71 has a global score of 87.5, which is slightly better than the Google Pixel 2 XL's score of 82.5. The Galaxy A71 body is noticeably newer and a little bit thinner, but also just a little bit heavier than the Google Pixel 2 XL. Google Pixel 2 XL features a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A71, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2880 resolution and a better pixels density.
Galaxy A71 counts with a way bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal storage, the Galaxy A71 also has an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB. The Samsung Galaxy A71 has a processor that's just as good as the processor in Google Pixel 2 XL, and although the Samsung Galaxy A71 has a higher amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor.
The Samsung Galaxy A71 has improved battery lifetime than Google Pixel 2 XL, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity. Samsung Galaxy A71 has a lot better camera than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have a F1.8 diafragm aperture, the same video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy A71 also has a lot larger sensor which provides a way better photo and video quality and a back camera with way more mega-pixels.
Although Samsung Galaxy A71 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Google Pixel 2 XL, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Google Pixel 2 XL. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Google Pixel 2 XL, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
