Comparison review
The Galaxy S6 is slightly better than Google Pixel 2 XL, getting a overall score of 87.4 against 82.5. Although Galaxy S6 is a lot older than Google Pixel 2 XL, it's body is notably lighter and thinner. Samsung Galaxy S6 counts with a bit better CPU than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Samsung Galaxy S6 also counts with an additional GPU and a 64-bit processing unit.
The Galaxy S6 features a much better display than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a quite lower 2560 x 1440 resolution, it also counts with a little bit higher screen pixels density. The Galaxy S6's storage for applications, games, photos and videos is just as good as Google Pixel 2 XL's one, both of them have the same 128 GB internal storage capacity.
The Google Pixel 2 XL features a way better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S6, because it has a 3520mAh battery size against 2550mAh. The Galaxy S6 captures slightly better pictures and videos than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for low-light captures and videos, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, a same size sensor and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy S6 also counts with a way better resolution camera in the back.
Although Samsung Galaxy S6 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Google Pixel 2 XL, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Pixel 2 XL. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S6, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Google Pixel 2 XL, giving up a couple specifications.
