The Sony Xperia 5 II has a score of 87.2, which is just a bit better than Google Pixel 2 XL's 82.5 global score. Xperia 5 II features a little bit better performance than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 5 II also has a greater amount of RAM.

Google Pixel 2 XL counts with a slightly better display than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2880 and a just a bit more pixels per inch in the screen. The Xperia 5 II has much more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Xperia 5 II also has a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 1000 GB.

The Sony Xperia 5 II features a bit longer battery performance than Google Pixel 2 XL, because it has a 14 percent more battery size. Xperia 5 II shoots clearer pictures and videos than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has a back camera with a lower 12 mega pixels resolution and a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, it also counts with a way larger back camera sensor shooting much higher quality videos and pictures and a bigger aperture.

Although Sony Xperia 5 II is a better device, it costs a lot more than Google Pixel 2 XL, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Pixel 2 XL. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Sony Xperia 5 II, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Google Pixel 2 XL, resigning a couple specifications.
