Google Pixel 2 XL has a global score of 82.5, which is just a bit better than the Xperia Z5's overall score of 77.6. Google Pixel 2 XL is a much newer phone than the Xperia Z5, but it is a little bit thicker and heavier. Xperia Z5 has a bit sharper display than Google Pixel 2 XL, although it has a bit smaller display, a little lower pixel density and a way lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Google Pixel 2 XL counts with a greater memory for games and applications than Xperia Z5, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Xperia Z5 counts with a little faster processing unit than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has less RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia Z5 also counts with an additional graphics processing unit.
Xperia Z5 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have the same video frame rates, the same 3840x2160 video definition and a same size camera aperture, the Xperia Z5 also has a lot higher 23 mega pixels resolution camera and a bigger sensor which gives a higher photo and video quality.
The Google Pixel 2 XL features longer battery performance than Xperia Z5, because it has 3520mAh of battery capacity.
