Comparison review
The Galaxy S8 Active is just a bit better than the Google Pixel 3 XL, having an 81.9 score against 80.7. Although it's the best cellphone in this review, we must tell that it is also older, somewhat heavier and noticeably thicker. Galaxy S8 Active features just a bit better looking screen than Google Pixel 3 XL, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have an equal 1440 x 2960 resolution, the Galaxy S8 Active also counts with a little bit better amount of pixels in each display inch.
Galaxy S8 Active has a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Google Pixel 3 XL, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Galaxy S8 Active also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 256 GB. Google Pixel 3 XL has a little bit better processing power than Galaxy S8 Active. Both of them have 8 processing cores and a 4 GB RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active features a little better battery lifetime than Google Pixel 3 XL, because it has a 17% bigger battery size. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active and Google Pixel 3 XL count with extremely similar cameras, because although the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has a lower 12 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera and a lower (4K) video definition, and they both have a 0.39 inches camera sensor, it also counts with a larger camera aperture.
Although Galaxy S8 Active is a better device, it costs more money than Google Pixel 3 XL, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Google Pixel 3 XL. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy S8 Active, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Google Pixel 3 XL, letting go a couple specs and features.
