Comparison review
The Galaxy S8 Active has a global score of 81.9, which is just a bit better than Google Pixel 3's 80 overall score. Even being the best phone in this comparison review, Galaxy S8 Active's construction is older, heavier and notably thicker than Google Pixel 3. The Galaxy S8 Active counts with a slightly better looking display than Google Pixel 3, because it has a quite bigger display, a better resolution of 1440 x 2960px and a greater display pixel density.
The Galaxy S8 Active counts with a much bigger memory for games and applications than Google Pixel 3, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Galaxy S8 Active also has an external memory slot that supports up to 256 GB. The Google Pixel 3 has a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy S8 Active. Both of them have a 4 GB RAM and 8 CPU cores.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active features a much longer battery life than Google Pixel 3, because it has a 4000mAh battery size. The Galaxy S8 Active's camera is very similar to the Google Pixel 3 one, because although the Galaxy S8 Active has a worse (4K) video quality and a camera in the back with a worse resolution, and they both have a 0.39 inches camera sensor, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture.
Although Galaxy S8 Active is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Google Pixel 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Pixel 3. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy S8 Active, otherwise you can save some money and get the Google Pixel 3, letting go some specifications.
