Comparison review
The Google Pixel 4a 5G has a global score of 87.5, which is much better than Google Pixel 3a XL's 78.9 global score. Both phones in this comparison use the same Android 11 OS (operating system). The Google Pixel 4a 5G is a a little heavier device than Google Pixel 3a XL, but they are equally thin. Google Pixel 4a 5G features a little faster processor than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Google Pixel 4a 5G also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
Google Pixel 4a 5G has a bit more vivid display than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has a bit higher 1080 x 2340 resolution, a little bit greater count of pixels per inch in the display and a bit bigger screen. Google Pixel 4a 5G captures a bit better photographs and videos than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have a same resolution back camera, the same sensor size and the same (4K) video resolution, the Google Pixel 4a 5G also has faster video frame rate and a larger aperture to capture better photography and video in low-light situations.
The Google Pixel 4a 5G features a much better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has 128 GB internal memory. Google Pixel 4a 5G has just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has a 5% more battery size.
Although Google Pixel 4a 5G is a better device, it is way more expensive than Google Pixel 3a XL, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Pixel 3a XL. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Google Pixel 3a XL, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your money.
