Huawei Mate 20 is a little bit better than Google Pixel 3a XL, getting a 79.5 score against 78.9. Despite being the best in this review, the Huawei Mate 20 is a just a little bit thicker and somewhat heavier device than Google Pixel 3a XL. Both of these phones use Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei Mate 20 has 9.0 Pie version and Google Pixel 3a XL has Android 11 version, providing the user some additional features and improved performance.
The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a bit more powerful processor than Google Pixel 3a XL. Both of them have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores. Huawei Mate 20 has just a bit better looking screen than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has a little worse pixel density, it also counts with a quite bigger screen and a bit higher 1080 x 2244 resolution.
Huawei Mate 20 shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has a lesser mega-pixels resolution camera and a worse 3840x2160 video definition, and they both have a F1.8 camera aperture, the Huawei Mate 20 also counts with a larger sensor taking higher quality photos.
Huawei Mate 20 has a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has 128 GB internal memory. The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a bit better battery lifetime than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Google Pixel 3a XL, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Pixel 3a XL. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Google Pixel 3a XL, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your budget.
