The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has an overall score of 82.9, which is just a bit better than Google Pixel 3a XL's 78.9 score. Even being the best cellphone in this review, Huawei Mate 20 Pro's body is a little bit thicker and somewhat heavier than Google Pixel 3a XL. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a bit sharper screen than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has a higher pixels density, a better 1440 x 3120 pixels resolution and a little bit bigger display.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a bit better processor than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a superior camera than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the same 30 fps video frame rate and a F1.8 aperture, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also has a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting way better quality videos and photographs and a back-facing camera with a way better resolution.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a very superior memory capacity for games and applications than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity. Huawei Mate 20 Pro counts with just a little bit longer battery duration than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has a 14% larger battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than Google Pixel 3a XL, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Pixel 3a XL. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Google Pixel 3a XL, letting go a couple features and specifications.
