Huawei P40 Pro is much better than Google Pixel 3a XL, getting an 88.2 score against 78.9. Even though Huawei P40 Pro is newer than the Google Pixel 3a XL, it's just a bit thicker and noticeably heavier. Both phones in this review work with Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei P40 Pro has the previous 10 version and Google Pixel 3a XL has Android 11 version.
Huawei P40 Pro has a slightly better looking screen than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has a quite larger screen, a quite better quantity of pixels per inch in the display and a bit higher resolution of 1200 x 2640px. Huawei P40 Pro counts with a bit faster processing unit than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Huawei P40 Pro also has more RAM memory.
The Huawei P40 Pro counts with a much better camera than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not so good for low-light photos and videos, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Huawei P40 Pro also counts with a much larger back-facing camera sensor which gives a way better photo and video quality, a lot better 50 MP resolution camera and better 60 fps video frame rate.
The Huawei P40 Pro has a lot bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has more internal storage capacity. Huawei P40 Pro counts with a bit longer battery life than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has a 14% bigger battery size.
