Comparison review
Galaxy A71 is better than Google Pixel 3a XL, having an 87.5 score against 78.9. These phones come with the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't see any difference in that aspect. Although Galaxy A71 and Google Pixel 3a XL were released only a few months apart, the Galaxy A71 construction is a little thinner but also a little heavier than Google Pixel 3a XL.
Samsung Galaxy A71 features just a bit better hardware performance than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy A71 also has a greater amount of RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy A71 has a display that is very similar to Google Pixel 3a XL's screen, because although the Samsung Galaxy A71 has a quite worse amount of pixels per display inch, it also counts with a little bit larger display and a little higher resolution of 1080 x 2400.
Galaxy A71 features a greater camera than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, a F1.8 diafragm aperture and the same (4K) video resolution, the Galaxy A71 also has a much higher resolution back camera and a much bigger camera sensor shooting lot better quality photos and videos.
The Galaxy A71 features a much better memory for games and applications than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has 64 GB more internal storage capacity and a SD card slot that admits up to 512 GB. The Samsung Galaxy A71 has superior battery duration than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has a 4500mAh battery size against 3700mAh.
Although Galaxy A71 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Google Pixel 3a XL, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Pixel 3a XL. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy A71, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Google Pixel 3a XL, giving up a couple specifications.
