Comparison review
Xperia XZ Premium is just a bit better than the Google Pixel 3a XL, with a score of 79.8 against 78.9. The Xperia XZ Premium construction is a bit thinner than the Google Pixel 3a XL, but it is heavier and was released 2 years before. The Xperia XZ Premium has a way better display than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 2160 x 3840 and a much greater display density.
Xperia XZ Premium has a much bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Xperia XZ Premium also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium has a bit better processing power than Google Pixel 3a XL. They have a 4 GB RAM and 8 processing cores.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not so good for low-light captures and videos, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium also counts with a larger sensor providing a higher image quality and a camera with much more megapixels.
The Google Pixel 3a XL features a bit longer battery duration than Xperia XZ Premium, because it has a 15 percent greater battery size.
