Comparison review
Galaxy Note 5 is slightly better than Google Pixel 3a, having a global score of 79.3 against 78.8. These phones use Android OS, but Galaxy Note 5 has the older 5.1 version while Google Pixel 3a has Android 11. The Galaxy Note 5 is a noticeably older and heavier phone than the Google Pixel 3a, but Samsung could make it a bit thinner anyway.
Google Pixel 3a features just a little better processing power than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Google Pixel 3a also has a larger number of cores (but slower). The Galaxy Note 5 counts with a brighter screen than Google Pixel 3a, because it has a bit bigger display, a just a little more pixels per display inch and a higher 2560 x 1440 resolution.
Google Pixel 3a and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 have quite similar storage to install games and applications, both have equal internal memory. The Galaxy Note 5 has a battery duration that is just as good as Google Pixel 3a's battery life. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Google Pixel 3a, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not so good for shooting photos in poorly lited environments and a smaller back-facing camera sensor capturing less light and washed colors, and they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also counts with a way better resolution back camera.
Although Galaxy Note 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Google Pixel 3a, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Pixel 3a. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Note 5, else you can save some money and buy the Google Pixel 3a, letting go some features and specifications.
