Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a global score of 83, which is just a bit better than the Google Pixel 3a's general score of 78.8. Samsung Galaxy Note8 is an older, a little bit thicker and incredibly heavier device than the Google Pixel 3a. Both devices in this review have Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Google Pixel 3a has Android 11, so it provides you a couple nice extra features and enhanced performance.

Galaxy Note8 has a little sharper screen than Google Pixel 3a, because it has a quite bigger display, a higher resolution of 1440 x 2960px and a little bit greater pixels density. The Galaxy Note8 counts with a much bigger memory for apps and games than Google Pixel 3a, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Note8 also has a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a little better processing power than Google Pixel 3a, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has 2 GB more RAM memory. Galaxy Note8 features just a little bit longer battery performance than Google Pixel 3a, because it has a 3300mAh battery size against 3000mAh.

Galaxy Note8 and Google Pixel 3a both have really similar cameras, because although the Galaxy Note8 has a worse (4K) video quality and a worse 12 mega pixels resolution camera, and they both have a 0.39 inches back camera sensor, it also counts with a larger aperture to take better low-light captures and videos.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Google Pixel 3a, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Google Pixel 3a. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note8, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Google Pixel 3a, giving up some features and specs.
