Xperia Z5 Premium is just a bit better than Google Pixel 3a, having a 79.8 score against 78.8. These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia Z5 Premium has 5.1 version while Google Pixel 3a has Android 11. Despite of the fact the Xperia Z5 Premium is a lot older and heavier than the Google Pixel 3a, it's construction is still just a little bit thinner.
The Xperia Z5 Premium counts with an incredibly better screen than Google Pixel 3a, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a much better 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution and way more pixels per screen inch. Xperia Z5 Premium features a quite bigger storage for apps and games than Google Pixel 3a, because although it has only 32 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 200 GB.
Xperia Z5 Premium features a bit faster CPU than Google Pixel 3a, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a graphics processing unit. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features just a bit better camera than Google Pixel 3a, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the same video frame rate and the same diafragm aperture, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has a camera with way more mega-pixels and a larger camera sensor capturing higher quality videos and pictures.
The Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a little longer battery performance than Google Pixel 3a, because it has 3430mAh of battery capacity.
Although Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Google Pixel 3a, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Pixel 3a. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Google Pixel 3a, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
