Comparison review
The Xiaomi Black Shark 4 has a score of 88.3, which is much better than the Google Pixel 3a's score of 78.8. Both of these devices have the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't see any differences regarding that. Even though the Xiaomi Black Shark 4 is notably newer than the Google Pixel 3a, it is noticeably thicker and noticeably heavier.
Xiaomi Black Shark 4 has a brighter display than Google Pixel 3a, because although it has a bit less pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a bigger screen and a slightly better 1080 x 2400 resolution. Xiaomi Black Shark 4 features a way bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Google Pixel 3a, because it has more internal memory.
Xiaomi Black Shark 4 features a little bit better processing power than Google Pixel 3a, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Xiaomi Black Shark 4 also has a larger amount of RAM. The Xiaomi Black Shark 4 features a really longer battery life than Google Pixel 3a, because it has a 50% larger battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 4 captures much better photos and videos than Google Pixel 3a, and although they both have the same aperture and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xiaomi Black Shark 4 also has a lot bigger sensor which provides a way better image and video quality, a back facing camera with way more MP and faster 60 fps video frame rates.
Although Xiaomi Black Shark 4 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Google Pixel 3a, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Pixel 3a. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Xiaomi Black Shark 4, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Google Pixel 3a, letting go a couple specifications.
