Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a score of 79, which is a little bit better than the Google Pixel 3a's 78.8 overall score. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S's body is newer, but noticeably heavier and just a little thicker than Google Pixel 3a. Both of these devices use the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't notice any differences regarding operating system features.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a bit better hardware performance than Google Pixel 3a. They have 4 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores. Google Pixel 3a has a bit more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2220px and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch in the display.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a way bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Google Pixel 3a, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 512 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a way better battery life than Google Pixel 3a, because it has a 67% greater battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S captures better photographs and videos than Google Pixel 3a, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the same video frame rate and a same size aperture, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a much more megapixels back camera and a way larger camera sensor.
Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is a better device, it is more expensive than Google Pixel 3a, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Pixel 3a. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, else you can save some dollars and get the Google Pixel 3a, letting go a couple specifications.
