Google Pixel 4 XL has an overall score of 82.9, which is a bit better than the Huawei P20 Pro's 81.4 score. The Google Pixel 4 XL body is newer, but a little thicker and a little bit heavier than the Huawei P20 Pro. Google Pixel 4 XL counts with a little bit better processing power than Huawei P20 Pro. Both of them have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM memory amount.
Google Pixel 4 XL features a bit more vivid display than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has a greater pixels amount in each inch in the display, a better resolution of 1440 x 3040px and a quite larger screen. The Huawei P20 Pro captures much better photographs and videos than Google Pixel 4 XL, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Huawei P20 Pro also counts with a lot larger sensor shooting way higher quality photographs and a lot better 40 MP resolution back-facing camera.
The Huawei P20 Pro has much more memory capacity for games and applications than Google Pixel 4 XL, because it has more internal storage. Huawei P20 Pro features just a bit better battery lifetime than Google Pixel 4 XL, because it has an 8% more battery capacity.
Although Google Pixel 4 XL is a better device, it costs more money than the Huawei P20 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Huawei P20 Pro. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Google Pixel 4 XL, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Huawei P20 Pro, letting go a couple specifications.
