Google Pixel 4 XL has a general score of 82.9, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy S5 Plus's 78.1 overall score. Google Pixel 4 XL is a incredibly heavier device than Galaxy S5 Plus, but both of them are equally thin. Google Pixel 4 XL features a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with 4 more cores and more RAM.
The Galaxy S5 Plus has a little bit better screen than Google Pixel 4 XL, although it has a way worse 1920 x 1080 resolution, a little smaller display and a little less pixels per inch in the display. Galaxy S5 Plus's camera is very similar to the camera in Google Pixel 4 XL, because although the Galaxy S5 Plus has a way tinier aperture which is worse for shooting images or video in low-light environments and a tinier camera sensor capturing less light and duller colors, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rates, it also counts with a back camera with much more megapixels.
The Google Pixel 4 XL features a bigger storage to install applications and games than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity. Google Pixel 4 XL counts with better battery performance than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has 3700mAh of battery capacity instead of 2800mAh.
Although Google Pixel 4 XL is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S5 Plus. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Google Pixel 4 XL, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Galaxy S5 Plus, resigning some specifications.
