Comparison review
The Google Pixel 4a 5G has a general score of 87.5, which is better than the Google Pixel 3a's general score of 78.8. Both phones we are comparing here use the same Android 11 operating system, so both should give identical operating system features. The Google Pixel 4a 5G body has the same thickness than Google Pixel 3a, but it is somewhat heavier.
The Google Pixel 3a and Google Pixel 4a 5G both feature quite similar screens, because although the Google Pixel 3a has a little smaller display and a bit lower 1080 x 2220 resolution, it also counts with a just a bit higher display pixels density. Google Pixel 4a 5G has much more storage for applications and games than Google Pixel 3a, because it has 64 GB more internal memory.
The Google Pixel 4a 5G counts with just a little better performance than Google Pixel 3a, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Google Pixel 4a 5G also has a higher amount of RAM. The Google Pixel 4a 5G features longer battery performance than Google Pixel 3a, because it has 3885mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.
The Google Pixel 4a 5G features a little bit better camera than Google Pixel 3a, and although they both have the same resolution camera, the same (4K) video resolution and a same size back camera sensor, the Google Pixel 4a 5G also has a bigger aperture and better video frame rate.
