Comparison review
The Google Pixel 4a 5G has a global score of 87.5, which is better than Huawei P40 Lite's global score of 79.5. The Google Pixel 4a 5G construction is a little bit thinner and just a little lighter than the Huawei P40 Lite, although they were released only a couple of months apart. Both phones we are comparing use Android OS (operating system), but Google Pixel 4a 5G has a newer 11 version and Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10 version.
The Google Pixel 4a 5G counts with a bit better looking screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a quite better pixel density and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2340px. The Huawei P40 Lite and Google Pixel 4a 5G both have similar memory for apps and games, they have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory capacity.
Google Pixel 4a 5G has a bit superior processing unit than Huawei P40 Lite. Both of them have the same RAM amount and the same number of cores. Huawei P40 Lite features a little better battery duration than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because it has a 4200mAh battery capacity. Huawei P40 Lite features a slightly better camera than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not favorable for low light captures and slower video frame rate, and they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a back camera with a lot better resolution and a lot larger sensor capturing much higher quality photos.
Although Google Pixel 4a 5G is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P40 Lite. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Huawei P40 Lite, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
