The Google Pixel 4a 5G is much better than the Motorola Edge 40, with a global score of 87.5 against 77.2. Both phones in our current comparison have Android OS (operating system), but Google Pixel 4a 5G has the previous 11 version while Motorola Edge 40 has Android 13. Even being the best in this review, Google Pixel 4a 5G is a notably older, a little thicker and just a bit heavier cellphone than Motorola Edge 40.
Motorola Edge 40 counts with a bit more vivid display than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has a just a bit lower display pixel density, it also counts with a slightly better 1080 x 2400 resolution and a quite bigger display. Motorola Edge 40 and Google Pixel 4a 5G both have similar memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos, both have the same 128 GB internal storage capacity.
The Google Pixel 4a 5G has a much greater hardware performance than Motorola Edge 40, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 processing cores. Motorola Edge 40 counts with just a bit better battery lifetime than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because it has a 13 percent more battery size.
The Motorola Edge 40 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has worse video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Motorola Edge 40 also counts with a lot bigger camera sensor shooting way better quality pictures and videos, a larger aperture to take better low-light captures and videos and a much more megapixels camera in the back.
