Comparison review
The Galaxy S21 is a little bit better than the Google Pixel 4a 5G, getting a general score of 91.8 against 87.5. Galaxy S21's design is a little bit thinner but a little heavier than Google Pixel 4a 5G, and both were only released with a couple months difference. Both of these phones include the same Android 11 OS, so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding operating system features.
Samsung Galaxy S21 has a more vivid display than Google Pixel 4a 5G, and although they both have a same size screen, the Samsung Galaxy S21 also has a just a bit better number of pixels per inch of display and a slightly higher 1080 x 2400 resolution. Galaxy S21 counts with a little better performance than Google Pixel 4a 5G, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Galaxy S21 also has more RAM memory.
Galaxy S21 features as much memory for apps and games as Google Pixel 4a 5G, both have the same internal storage. Samsung Galaxy S21 features a slightly better camera than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has a camera in the back with less megapixels and a smaller aperture, it also counts with a lot higher video resolution and a much bigger sensor providing a much better image quality.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 counts with a little better battery life than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because it has a 3% greater battery size.
Although Galaxy S21 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Google Pixel 4a 5G, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Pixel 4a 5G. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy S21, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Google Pixel 4a 5G, resigning some features and specifications.
