Comparison review
The Google Pixel 4a 5G has a general score of 87.5, which is slightly better than the Galaxy S9's 83.3 general score. Google Pixel 4a 5G's construction is newer and a little bit thinner, but a bit heavier than Galaxy S9. Galaxy S9 counts with a bit faster processor than Google Pixel 4a 5G, although it has less RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 counts with a slightly better looking display than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution and more pixels per inch of screen. The Google Pixel 4a 5G and the Galaxy S9 count with incredibly similar cameras, because although the Galaxy S9 has a back facing camera with a worse 12 MP resolution and a worse (4K) video quality, and they both have a same size sensor, it also counts with a larger camera aperture to take better captures and video in poorly lited situations.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 features more storage capacity for games and applications than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 400 GB. Google Pixel 4a 5G features longer battery life than Galaxy S9, because it has a 3885mAh battery capacity.
Although Google Pixel 4a 5G is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy S9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy S9. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Samsung Galaxy S9, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
