Comparison review
The Google Pixel 4a 5G has a general score of 87.5, which is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S's general score of 79. The Google Pixel 4a 5G is a somewhat lighter and a bit thinner phone than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, although both were only released 8 months apart. Both of these phones come with the same Android 11 OS, so you shouldn't perceive any difference regarding that.
The Google Pixel 4a 5G features a little more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a bit smaller display and a little lower 1080 x 2340 resolution, it also counts with a bit more pixels per display inch. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a better storage capacity for applications and games than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits up to 512 GB.
The Google Pixel 4a 5G features a bit superior processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Google Pixel 4a 5G also has 2 GB more RAM memory. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features improved battery duration than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because it has a 29% greater battery size.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S captures much clearer pictures and videos than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for shooting images and video in poorly lited environments and worse 30 fps video frame rate, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also counts with a back facing camera with a much better 48 megapixels resolution and a lot larger back-facing camera sensor shooting lot higher quality pictures.
Although Google Pixel 4a 5G is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Google Pixel 4a 5G, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, letting go some specs and features.
