Comparison review
Google Pixel 4a has a general score of 82.9, which is a little bit better than Huawei P40 Lite's general score of 79.5. The Google Pixel 4a design is a lot lighter and just a bit thinner than the Huawei P40 Lite, even though both of them were only released with a couple months difference. These phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Google Pixel 4a has newer 11 version and Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10, giving a lot of extra features and a performance increase.
The Google Pixel 4a features a slightly better screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch in the display and a little higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Huawei P40 Lite features a processing unit that is very similar to Google Pixel 4a's CPU, both have a Octa-Core CPU and 6 GB of RAM memory.
The Huawei P40 Lite shoots much clearer photos and videos than Google Pixel 4a, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not so good for capturing photos and/or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video resolution, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a back camera with a way higher 48 MP resolution and a much larger sensor.
The Huawei P40 Lite counts with as much storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos as the Google Pixel 4a one, they have the same internal storage. Huawei P40 Lite counts with longer battery duration than Google Pixel 4a, because it has a 34 percent more battery size.
Although Google Pixel 4a is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei P40 Lite. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Google Pixel 4a, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Huawei P40 Lite, giving up a couple specs and features.
