The Samsung Galaxy A42 is a little bit better than the Google Pixel 4a, with an 87 score against 82.9. Despite being the best in this review, the Samsung Galaxy A42 is an extremely heavier and just a bit thicker device than Google Pixel 4a. Both of these phones use the same Android 11 operating system.
Google Pixel 4a features a more vivid display than Galaxy A42, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a way better 1080 x 2340 resolution and a much higher pixel count per inch of screen. The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Google Pixel 4a, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also has a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 1000 GB.
The Google Pixel 4a features just a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Google Pixel 4a also has more RAM. Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with a better camera than Google Pixel 4a, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for taking images or videos in low-light situations, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also counts with a much more MP camera in the back.
The Galaxy A42 counts with a very superior battery duration than Google Pixel 4a, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 3140mAh.
