Comparison review
The Google Pixel 5 has a global score of 89, which is better than Google Pixel 3 XL's global score of 80.7. Google Pixel 5's body has the same thickness than the Google Pixel 3 XL, but it is somewhat lighter. The Google Pixel 3 XL features a little sharper screen than Google Pixel 5, because it has a quite higher pixel count per inch of display, a little bit larger screen and a higher 1440 x 2960 resolution.
Google Pixel 5 counts with a little better performance than Google Pixel 3 XL, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Google Pixel 5 also has more RAM memory. The Google Pixel 5 features much more storage to store more apps and games than Google Pixel 3 XL, because it has 64 GB more internal storage capacity.
The Google Pixel 5 features better battery duration than Google Pixel 3 XL, because it has 4080mAh of battery capacity instead of 3430mAh. The Google Pixel 5 takes a bit better videos and photos than Google Pixel 3 XL, and although they both have a same resolution back camera, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a 0.39 inches sensor, the Google Pixel 5 also has a larger aperture to take better images in poorly lited situations and better video frame rate.
Although Google Pixel 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Google Pixel 3 XL, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Pixel 3 XL. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Google Pixel 5, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Google Pixel 3 XL, giving up some features and specifications.
