Comparison review
Google Pixel 5 is slightly better than Google Pixel 4a, having a general score of 89 against 82.9. Even though Google Pixel 5 and Google Pixel 4a were released with only 2 months difference, Google Pixel 5's design is just a little bit thinner but a bit heavier. The Google Pixel 4a has a bit sharper screen than Google Pixel 5, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have an equal 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, the Google Pixel 4a also counts with a bit better pixel quantity in each inch of screen.
Google Pixel 5 features a bit better performance than Google Pixel 4a, and although they both have 8 cores, the Google Pixel 5 also has more RAM memory. The Google Pixel 4a and Google Pixel 5 feature very similar memory capacity for applications and games, both of them have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage.
The Google Pixel 5 has longer battery lifetime than Google Pixel 4a, because it has a 4080mAh battery capacity. The Google Pixel 5 counts with a slightly better camera than Google Pixel 4a, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the same sensor size, the same resolution back facing camera and a F1.7 diafragm aperture, the Google Pixel 5 also has faster video frame rate.
Although Google Pixel 5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Google Pixel 4a, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Pixel 4a. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Google Pixel 5, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Google Pixel 4a, giving up a couple specs and features.
