Comparison review
Google Pixel 5 has a general score of 89, which is just a bit better than the Huawei P40's 86.4 score. Even when the Google Pixel 5 and Huawei P40 were only released 6 months apart, the Google Pixel 5 is a bit thinner and lighter. Huawei P40 has a bit sharper screen than Google Pixel 5, because although it has a just a bit lower screen pixel density, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1080 x 2340, the Huawei P40 also counts with a bit bigger screen.
Huawei P40 has a bit faster CPU than Google Pixel 5, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Huawei P40 has as much storage for games and applications as the Google Pixel 5 one, both of them have the same 128 GB internal memory. Huawei P40 has a better camera than Google Pixel 5, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for low light photography, and they both have the same 60 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Huawei P40 also counts with a much bigger back-facing camera sensor which offers a way better image and video quality and a back-facing camera with way more mega pixels.
Google Pixel 5 counts with a bit superior battery lifetime than Huawei P40, because it has a 4080mAh battery size.
Although Google Pixel 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Huawei P40, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei P40. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Huawei P40, letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
