Comparison review

Sony Xperia 1 III is a bit better than Google Pixel 5, getting a global score of 93.3 against 89. Although it's the best we are comparing, we must tell that it is also heavier and a little thicker. The Xperia 1 III features a better looking display than Google Pixel 5, because it has a much higher 1644 x 3840 resolution, a quite larger display and a higher display pixels density.

The Sony Xperia 1 III features a lot bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Google Pixel 5, because it has 128 GB more internal storage and an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 1 TB. Xperia 1 III features a little bit better hardware performance than Google Pixel 5, and although they both have 8 cores, the Xperia 1 III also has 4 GB more RAM memory.

Xperia 1 III shoots clearer videos and photos than Google Pixel 5, because although it has a lower resolution back-facing camera and a lower video definition, and they both have a F1.7 aperture, the Xperia 1 III also counts with a much larger back camera sensor shooting way higher quality photographs.

The Sony Xperia 1 III has a little longer battery duration than Google Pixel 5, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is way more expensive than Google Pixel 5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Pixel 5. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Sony Xperia 1 III, else you can save some money and buy the Google Pixel 5, giving up some specifications.
