Xperia 1 has a global score of 82.6, which is just a bit better than the Google Pixel 6a's 76.4 overall score. The Xperia 1 design weights the same than the Google Pixel 6a, but it is a little bit thinner. The Xperia 1 has a much sharper screen than Google Pixel 6a, because it has a little larger display, more pixels per inch of screen and a lot better resolution of 1644 x 3840.
Sony Xperia 1 features a very superior hardware performance than Google Pixel 6a, and although they both have a 6 GB RAM, the Sony Xperia 1 also has more CPU cores. Xperia 1 counts with a camera that's very similar to the camera in Google Pixel 6a, because although the Xperia 1 has a lower 3840x2160 video quality and a camera in the back with lesser mega-pixels, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to take better captures and videos in poorly lited environments.
The Sony Xperia 1 features a much greater memory for games and applications than Google Pixel 6a, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal memory, the Sony Xperia 1 also has an external memory slot that admits up to 512 GB. The Google Pixel 6a counts with superior battery duration than Xperia 1, because it has a 4410mAh battery capacity.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Google Pixel 6a, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Pixel 6a. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Xperia 1, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Google Pixel 6a, resigning some features and specifications.
