Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a little bit better than Honor 50, getting a 78.7 score against 74.5. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro body has the same thickness than the Honor 50, but it's a little lighter. Both phones in our current comparison have Android OS (operating system), but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has the newer 8.0 Oreo version while Honor 50 has Android 11 version, giving you a lot of extra features.
Honor 50 has a little bit better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Honor 50 also has a larger amount of RAM. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a bit better looking screen than Honor 50, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2560px resolution and a better number of pixels per screen inch.
The Honor 50 captures a lot better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Honor 50 also has a bigger aperture for better low-light photography and a much better 108 MP resolution back facing camera.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro and Honor 50 both count with really similar memory capacity for games and applications, both have equal 128 GB internal storage. Honor 50 counts with a bit better battery duration than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has an 8% more battery capacity.
