Motorola Edge 40 has a general score of 77.2, which is a little bit better than the Honor 50's 74.5 global score. These devices use Android operating system, but Motorola Edge 40 has newer 13 version and Honor 50 has Android 11 version, so it provides lots of additional features and optimized performance. Motorola Edge 40's construction has the same thickness than Honor 50, but it's a bit lighter.
The Honor 50 counts with a very superior processor than Motorola Edge 40. Both have the same RAM amount and a Octa-Core processing unit. The Motorola Edge 40 has a sharper display than Honor 50, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a little bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a just a bit higher pixel density.
The Honor 50 and the Motorola Edge 40 have extremely similar memory to install applications and games, both have equal internal memory capacity. Honor 50 takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has a much smaller aperture which is worse for shooting photographs and/or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Honor 50 also counts with a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back.
Motorola Edge 40 features a bit longer battery lifetime than Honor 50, because it has a 4400mAh battery capacity.
