Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 8 has an overall score of 83.3, which is better than Honor 50's general score of 74.5. The Xiaomi Mi 8 body has the same weight and thickness than Honor 50. Both phones in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Mi 8 has 10 version while Honor 50 has Android 11 version.
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a slightly better looking screen than Honor 50, because although it has a little bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2248px and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a bit better screen pixel density. Xiaomi Mi 8 features a bit better processing power than Honor 50, although it has 2 GB lesser RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU.
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a much bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Honor 50, because it has more internal storage capacity. The Honor 50 has a much better camera than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for low light photos and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Honor 50 also counts with a back-facing camera with way more megapixels.
The Honor 50 has longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 26% bigger battery size.
