The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is a bit better than Honor 50, having a 79 score against 74.5. Although it's the best in this review, Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is an older, somewhat heavier and thicker cellphone than the Honor 50. Both phones in our current comparison include the same Android 11 OS (operating system).
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a display that is very similar to Honor 50's display, although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a little higher count of pixels per inch in the screen, a little bit bigger screen and a little higher 1080 x 2400 resolution. The Honor 50 counts with just a little better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Honor 50 also has 4 GB more RAM memory.
The Honor 50 shoots clearer photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not good for shooting photographs in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Honor 50 also counts with a lot higher resolution back facing camera.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a greater memory capacity for apps and games than Honor 50, because although it has 0 less internal storage, it also counts with a SD extension slot that supports up to 512 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has greater battery lifetime than Honor 50, because it has a 17 percent larger battery capacity.
