The Xiaomi Mi 8 is a bit better than Honor Magic 6 Pro, getting a score of 83.3 against 76.6. Xiaomi Mi 8's construction is much lighter and thinner than Honor Magic 6 Pro. Both phones in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Mi 8 has the previous 10 version while Honor Magic 6 Pro has Android 14 version.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 features a little sharper display than Honor Magic 6 Pro, although it has a just a little lower screen pixels density, a bit smaller display and a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels. The Honor Magic 6 Pro has just a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Honor Magic 6 Pro also has more RAM.
Honor Magic 6 Pro captures a lot better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Honor Magic 6 Pro also has a much bigger sensor capturing lot higher quality videos and photos, higher 60 fps video frame rates, a back camera with much more mega-pixels and a lot larger camera aperture to take better photos and videos in low light situations.
Honor Magic 6 Pro features a very superior memory for apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has 512 GB internal memory capacity. Honor Magic 6 Pro has a superior battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 65 percent more battery size.
