IPhone 8 Plus has a general score of 87.1, which is much better than HTC 10's 75.7 general score. The iPhone 8 Plus is a newer and thinner cellphone than the HTC 10, but it is also incredibly heavier. HTC 10 counts with a little sharper display than iPhone 8 Plus, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better screen pixels density and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.
The Apple iPhone 8 Plus has a superior performance than HTC 10, because although it has less RAM, it also counts with a 64-bit processing unit and a higher number of cores. The Apple iPhone 8 Plus has just a bit bigger memory for apps and games than HTC 10, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
HTC 10 captures a little bit better pictures and videos than Apple iPhone 8 Plus, and although they both have a F1.8 aperture, a 12 megapixels back camera and the same (4K) video resolution, the HTC 10 also has better video frame rates and a lot larger camera sensor which provides a much better image and video quality.

Although Apple iPhone 8 Plus is a better device, it costs a lot more than HTC 10, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the HTC 10. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Apple iPhone 8 Plus, else you can save a couple dollars and get the HTC 10, letting go a couple features and specifications.
