Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a bit better than the HTC 10, having a 78.7 score against 75.7. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro design is thinner but just a bit heavier than the HTC 10, and they were only released 8 months apart. The HTC 10 features a bit sharper screen than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1440 x 2560px, the HTC 10 also counts with a quite better screen pixels density.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with just a little better hardware performance than HTC 10, because it has a greater number of cores and more RAM memory. The HTC 10 has a little bit better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have a 12 mega-pixels camera in the back and the same video quality, the HTC 10 also has a much larger camera sensor which provides a way higher photo and video quality, a bigger camera aperture to capture better images in low light environments and better video frame rates.
The HTC 10 has a superior storage capacity to store more apps and games than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has only 32 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB. Huawei Mate 9 Pro has longer battery lifetime than HTC 10, because it has a 33% more battery size.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the HTC 10, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the HTC 10. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get HTC 10, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
