The Galaxy Alpha has a score of 76.3, which is a bit better than HTC 10's general score of 75.7. The Galaxy Alpha design is extremely lighter and a lot thinner than HTC 10. HTC 10 has a slightly better screen than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a much better resolution of 1440 x 2560px, a much better count of pixels per inch in the screen and a quite bigger screen.
HTC 10 counts with a much bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the HTC 10 also has a SD memory slot that admits up to 1,95 TB. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a little faster CPU than HTC 10, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have 4 CPU cores, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha also counts with an extra graphics processing unit.
HTC 10 features a better camera than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same video resolution and a same resolution back-facing camera, the HTC 10 also has a bigger diafragm aperture to take better images in low light situations and better video frame rate. The HTC 10 counts with a really longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 3000mAh battery capacity instead of 1860mAh.
Although Galaxy Alpha is a better device, it is a bit more expensive than HTC 10, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as HTC 10. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy Alpha, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the HTC 10, letting go some specifications.
