Comparison review

The Sony Xperia 1 is a bit better than HTC 10, with an 82.6 score against 75.7. Even though the Sony Xperia 1 is a bit heavier than the HTC 10, it's just a little bit thinner and incredibly newer. Xperia 1 has a little sharper display than HTC 10, because it has a better resolution of 1644 x 3840, a bigger display and a little bit greater quantity of pixels per inch of screen.

The Xperia 1 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than HTC 10, because it has a higher amount of RAM memory and a higher number of cores. HTC 10 captures slightly better photographs and videos than Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have a back-facing camera with a 12 mega pixels and the same (4K) video resolution, the HTC 10 also counts with a bigger back camera sensor providing a better image quality and faster 120 frames per second video frame rate.

Xperia 1 features more memory capacity to install games and applications than HTC 10, because although it has a SD extension slot that admits up to 512 GB against 1,95 TB, it also counts with more internal memory. Sony Xperia 1 has a bit superior battery performance than HTC 10, because it has an 11% larger battery size.

Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than HTC 10, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the HTC 10. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Sony Xperia 1, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the HTC 10, giving up a couple specs and features.
