Comparison review
Asus ROG Phone 8 is a bit better than HTC Desire 10 pro, getting a 79.5 score against 74.3. Both devices in our current comparison come with Android OS, but Asus ROG Phone 8 has 14 version while HTC Desire 10 pro has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. The Asus ROG Phone 8 is a notably newer cellphone than the HTC Desire 10 pro, but it's thicker and way heavier.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 has a more vivid display than HTC Desire 10 pro, because although it has a quite inferior pixel amount in each inch of screen, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a larger screen.
