Asus ZenFone 2 is a bit better than the HTC Desire 500, with a 62.8 score against 57.2. Despite being the best in this comparison review, the Asus ZenFone 2 body is way heavier and a little bit thicker than the HTC Desire 500. Both of these devices come with Android OS, but the Asus ZenFone 2 has a newer 5.0 version while HTC Desire 500 has Android 4.1.2, counting with a couple additional features.
The Asus ZenFone 2 features a brighter screen than HTC Desire 500, because it has a much greater screen pixels density, a larger screen and a way better resolution of 1920 x 1080px. Asus ZenFone 2 has a much bigger storage capacity for games and applications than HTC Desire 500, and although they both have a SD card slot that allows up to 64 GB, the Asus ZenFone 2 also has 64 GB internal memory.
The HTC Desire 500 features a much more powerful processor than Asus ZenFone 2, although it has 3 GB lesser RAM memory and doesn't have an extra graphics processor, they both have the same number of cores. Asus ZenFone 2 features a way better battery lifetime than HTC Desire 500, because it has a 3000mAh battery capacity instead of 1800mAh.
The Asus ZenFone 2 takes slightly better pictures and videos than HTC Desire 500, and although they both have the same camera aperture, the Asus ZenFone 2 also has a way more megapixels back-facing camera.
Even being the best phone between the ones we are comparing, the Asus ZenFone 2 is also a bargain compared to the other ones, making buying this phone an easy decision.
