LG Nitro HD has an overall score of 62.6, which is a bit better than HTC Desire 500's global score of 57.2. Despite being the best phone in our current comparison, LG Nitro HD is a just a bit thicker and a little heavier phone than the HTC Desire 500. Both of these phones use Android operating system, but LG Nitro HD has 2.3.5 version and HTC Desire 500 has Android 4.1.2 version.

The LG Nitro HD's CPU is just as good as the HTC Desire 500 one, and although the LG Nitro HD has a lower number of cores , they both have the same RAM memory amount. The LG Nitro HD features a slightly better looking display than HTC Desire 500, because it has a lot higher 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, a lot more pixels per inch in the screen and a bit bigger display.

LG Nitro HD takes much clearer photographs and videos than HTC Desire 500, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for shooting photographs or video in low light environments, and they both have the same resolution back camera, the LG Nitro HD also counts with a much better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition.

HTC Desire 500 features a better storage to install applications and games than LG Nitro HD, and although they both have exactly the same 4 GB internal storage, the HTC Desire 500 also has a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 64 GB.
