Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has an overall score of 81.7, which is a lot better than the HTC Desire 500's overall score of 57.2. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is a thinner but way heavier cellphone than HTC Desire 500. Both phones in our current comparison work with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has 5.0 version and HTC Desire 500 has Android 4.1.2, offering some extra features.

The Galaxy Note Edge has an incredibly better looking screen than HTC Desire 500, because it has a much better pixel quantity per inch in the screen, a much higher resolution of 2560 x 1440px and a much bigger screen. The Galaxy Note Edge counts with a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games than HTC Desire 500, because it has 28 GB more internal storage capacity and an external memory slot that supports up to 128 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has a more powerful processor than HTC Desire 500, and although they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge also has an extra graphics co-processor and a higher amount of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge features a very superior battery lifetime than HTC Desire 500, because it has a 3000mAh battery capacity against 1800mAh.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge takes greater videos and photos than HTC Desire 500, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not so good for capturing photos and video in poorly lited environments, it also counts with a back camera with a lot better resolution and a way higher (4K) video quality.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge costs exactly the same than HTC Desire 500.
