Galaxy Ace 3 is a bit better than HTC Desire 500, having a 62.2 score against 57.1. Both of these phones have Android operating system, but the Galaxy Ace 3 has newer 4.2.2 version while HTC Desire 500 has Android 4.1.2, so it offers lots of additional features and performance tweaks. The Galaxy Ace 3 construction has the same thickness than the HTC Desire 500, but it's a bit lighter.
HTC Desire 500 features a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy Ace 3, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, and they both have the same RAM amount, the HTC Desire 500 also counts with a higher number of cores. The Galaxy Ace 3 and HTC Desire 500 count with very similar screens, because although the Galaxy Ace 3 has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, it also counts with a quite better number of pixels in each inch of screen.
The HTC Desire 500 takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Ace 3, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same video definition, the HTC Desire 500 also has a much higher 8 mega pixels resolution camera in the back. Galaxy Ace 3 features more storage to store more apps and games than HTC Desire 500, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 64 GB, the Galaxy Ace 3 also has 8 GB internal storage.
Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 has a battery life that's very similar to the HTC Desire 500 one.
