Galaxy S5 has a global score of 77.7, which is better than the HTC One's overall score of 69. Both devices we are comparing have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy S5 has the older 4.4.2 version while HTC One has Android 5.0 version. The Galaxy S5 design is newer and somewhat thinner than HTC One's, but it is a bit heavier.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has just a bit better looking display than HTC One, because although it has a just a little worse display pixels density, it also counts with a little bit bigger screen and a bit higher resolution of 1920 x 1440. The Galaxy S5 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than HTC One, and although they both have a Quad-Core processor and a 2 GB RAM, the Galaxy S5 also has a better graphics co-processor working at 500 MHz.

Galaxy S5 counts with a bigger memory to store more games and applications than HTC One, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 128 GB. The Galaxy S5 features a lot better camera than HTC One, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for low-light photography, it also counts with a way better 16 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera, a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a larger sensor capturing higher quality photographs.

Samsung Galaxy S5 features better battery life than HTC One, because it has 2800mAh of battery capacity against 2300mAh.

Galaxy S5 is a little more expensive than HTC One, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
