Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) is just a bit better than the HTC One A9, having a global score of 77.4 against 72.1. Even though Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) is noticeably newer than the HTC One A9, it's heavier and somewhat thicker. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has a slightly better looking display than HTC One A9, because although it has a bit lower pixel density, it also counts with a bigger display and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels.
